1. Disable 3rd Party Antivirus Software:

There are many users who use 3rd party antivirus in their PC, instead of Windows Defender. But, some of the antivirus conflict with the Windows programs and services which results in many issues. And there are some antivirus which block the update/upgrade process. So, if you are also using third party antivirus software in Windows 10, then this will be the reason that your Windows upgrade stuck at 99%. 2. Unplug Peripheral Devices:

5. Disable Windows Update Service:

You should tap on Windows + R keys and then type services.msc in the Run box and then hit on OK button. Now in the Services window, you need to search for the Windows Update service and then just right-click on it. Here, you need to choose Properties from the context menu. Just under the Service Status section, you should hit on the Stop button. At this point, you should choose Startup Type: Disabled and then hit on OK button.
